MONTGOMERY – Four of Shelby County's finest are heading to Mobile to represent the state of Alabama in their annual showdown with the best of Mississippi.
Thompson's Trent Seaborn, Darion Moseley and Cam Pritchett will join Spain Park's MJ Evans on the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic. The Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association announced the rosters on Friday, Oct. 16.
They will be led by Helena coach Richie Busby, who was previously announced as the Alabama All-Stars head coach.
"I would like to thank the selection committee for their time and efforts selecting another quality team to represent the AHSAA and the state of Alabama," Busby said in a statement. "The roster is loaded with future college stars and quality young men."
The game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 12 at South Alabama's Hancock-Whitney Stadium in Mobile, also home to the North-South All-Star Game and AHSAA State Football Championships this year. Alabama owns a six-game win streak in the classic and has won 28 of the 39 editions.
The Thompson Warriors have three selections to the Alabama All-Stars roster after earning the undisputed No. 1 ranking in Class 6A's ASWA poll at the time of the roster release.
Seaborn leads the way as one of the top passers in the state of Alabama. The four-star Alabama commit has 2,014 passing yards and 24 touchdowns against no interceptions with a 78 percent completion rate through his first seven games.
Last season, he was named the Class 7A Back of the Year, Shelby County Male Athlete of the Year and Shelby County Player of the Year in addition to spots on the Super All-State Team, Class 7A All-State First Team, All-County First Team and MaxPreps' Junior All-American First Team.
Moseley has been the top target for Thompson this season, totaling 588 receiving yards on 37 catches with seven touchdowns through seven games. He's earned 15.9 yards per reception.
That came after a 2025 season when he made his first All-State First Team selection and led all county receivers with 1,128 yards for an All-County First Team spot.
He recently decommitted from Arkansas, and the three-star senior also boasts offers from Northwestern, Mississippi State, Washington, Missouri, Vanderbilt and Auburn among others.
"Offensively, we have explosive guys in the skill positions with QBs that can get playmakers the ball," Busby said.
Pritchett leads the defense for the Alabama All-Stars, and through seven games boasts 51 tackles with 11 tackles for loss, four sacks, four hurries, 23 solo tackles and one forced fumble.
He also secured All-State First Team and All-County First Team selections in 2025 and is committed to Oregon.
Spain Park once again earned a selection in defensive lineman MJ Evans. Through his first seven games, he has earned 42 tackles with 29 solo tackles, two tackles for loss, five quarterback hurries and two pass deflections. All of that came in the first season with the Jags in Class 6A after the Auburn commit transferred to Spain Park from Minor in the offseason.
"The roster is very versatile with guys having the ability to play multiple positions," Busby said of the defense.
In addition, a player who left Shelby County has secured an Alabama All-Stars spot in Prattville's Jayden Aparicio-Bailey. The Clemson commit helped the Lions to a 7-0 start after transferring from Oak Mountain in the offseason.
