The Thompson Warriors continued their dominant run through region play Friday night, defeating the Hillcrest Patriots 56-10 in front of a packed Homecoming crowd at Warrior Stadium.
From the opening kickoff, Thompson set the tone on both sides of the ball. The Warriors' high-powered offense moved the ball efficiently, with explosive plays in both the passing and running game. Quarterback Trent Seaborn led the charge, connecting with multiple receivers for touchdowns as Thompson built a commanding first-half lead.
The Warrior defense was just as impressive, forcing turnovers and limiting the Patriots' scoring opportunities. Hillcrest managed just one touchdown and a field goal against a defense that has been one of the best in the state all season.
With the win, Thompson remains undefeated in region play and in firm control of its own destiny. The Warriors can officially clinch the region championship next week with a win over rival Hoover.
The victory capped off a memorable Homecoming night for Alabaster City Schools and the Thompson community, celebrating school spirit and another statement performance from the defending state champions.
