Warriors Dominate Huskies in Key Region Win

The Thompson Warriors turned in a statement performance Friday night, rolling past the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies 34-12 in a crucial Class 7A, Region 3 matchup at Hewitt-Trussville Stadium.

From the opening kickoff, Thompson controlled the pace on both sides of the ball. The Warriors' offense found its rhythm early, with a balanced attack that mixed explosive passing plays and strong runs to keep the Huskies' defense on its heels. Thompson's offensive line set the tone up front, creating space and protecting their quarterback, who delivered several big throws to move the chains and find the end zone multiple times.

Defensively, the Warriors were relentless. The secondary locked down Hewitt's receivers, while the front seven consistently applied pressure, forcing hurried throws and limiting the Huskies' ground game. Thompson's defense even came up with a few key stops deep in their own territory to preserve the lead as the game wore on.

By the fourth quarter, Thompson's dominance was clear. The Warriors closed the game out with another scoring drive and a strong defensive stand to seal the 34-12 victory. The win improves Thompson's region record and reinforces their status as one of the top teams in Alabama 7A football as the postseason picture begins to take shape.
