It was a special senior night as the class of 2025 was honored on the field before the
Warriors went out and played a complete game taking down region newcomer Prattville
42-7.
It was all Thompson from the beginning as the defense forced a three-and-out on the
Lions' first drive, which then led to an opening scoring drive from the Warrior offense
thanks to
Trent Seaborn connecting with
Darion Moseley to go up 7-0. Moseley would
end up having three first-half touchdown receptions.
The Warriors kept flexing their muscles on defense, only giving up one total first down in
the first half and 19 total yards. On offense, Seaborn was able to get 360 passing yards
in the first half alone as the Warriors went up 35-0. It could have been even worse had a
touchdown not been erased off the board incorrectly near the end of the half.
Thompson opened the second half with an 80-yard drive that ended with a short
touchdown pass to
Gabe Binion to go up 42-0 and only gave up a score late in the final
quarter to make it 42-7.
Thompson outgained Prattville 485-92 and Prattville ended the game with only three
first downs.
Seaborn finished 23/32 for 370 yards with five touchdowns through the air. He also
added 23 yards on the ground.
RJ Evans led all rushers with five carries for 64 yards,
although
Michael Dujon had the lone rushing touchdown and carried the ball five times
for 20 yards.
Darion Moseley earned player of the game honors with his incredible
performance, bringing in six catches for 126 yards and three touchdowns. Brooks
Byards,
RJ Evans and
Pryce Lewis all had 3 or more catches in the game as well.
Angel Jones also hauled in a touchdown.
On defense, it was a complete team effort with 20 players recording a tackle and eight
different players recording a tackle for loss. John Alan McGuire only had to punt twice
on the night but averaged 48.5 yards per punt.
Head coach Mark Freeman was proud of the way his team handled the final regular
season game, "I saw a better week of preparation. I saw the defense get off the field on
third down, I saw the offense convert on first down better. It's all things we work on…We
fixed some things this week, I give them the credit for that. It was a great team effort."
Thompson is off for the final week of the regular season as they prepare for the playoffs.
The Warriors will host Daphne at Warrior Stadium on November 8 for the first round as
the road to the Super 7 begins again in Alabaster.
